Hi, I'm Maria Varmazis.

I'm a cartoonist, memoirist, and illustrator. I draw inspiration for my work from my childhood as a first-generation American kid of Greek parents, as the parent of a young child myself, from my fears about climate change, and my dreams of a hopeful future.

I also create mixed media illustrations and paintings, mixing the figurative with atmospheric and botanical abstract forms.
